These courses have been designed by Tracy Goodbrand, a professional horse trainer, instructor, and judge.

Trail Courses

Below are links to a number of different trail courses. These courses that have actually been used in both all-breed and breed competitions.

There is an easy and tough version of each course, and in some cases, a medium level is also offered.

The rules for measurements of the various obstacles differ from association to association. Please check out your association's rule book.

English Rider

There is an easy, medium, and tough version of each pattern. An easy pattern would be suitable for a younger youth or novice classes. The medium version would be suitable for older youth. The tough version is suitable for adults and open classes.
